Powrtouch model 4, 2 motor mover for twin axle caravans, this unit drives just 1 axle, usually the front on a twin axle caravan, weight is just under 40 kgs, it has larger rollers than the single axle models it will move up to 1500 kgs up the industry standard 1 in 4 test (25%), or up to 1700 kgs on lesser inclines.
It will move a caravan backwards & forwards admirably, however when it comes to cornering, all 2 motor units, whatever make will not turn anywhere near that of a POWRTOUCH MODEL 6 all wheel drive unit, although with the new FMC control panel they do seem to turn quicker than they used to.
I strongly recommend that you consider the £554 extra for the AWD 6, 4 motor unit that really will turn corners.
On the plus side it does come with the new larger rollers & the new FMC control panel, this unit does not step the motors in turns, it drives one side at full speed whilst slowing down the other side, so that it does try to turn, the problem is the non driven rear wheels try their best to keep the van going in a straight line.
It also comes with the powrbar, a cross activation unit, so that both wheels are engaged by just turning the engagement nut half a turn on either side of the van.
