This page is simply to extol the virtues of the new Powrtouch model 6 all wheel drive motor mover, the new rollers are twice as thick as the original ones for a bigger footprint on the tyre, the new blue FMC control panel does not step the opposing motors when going round corners like most twin wheelers, it drives them round the corners but at a slower speed, this makes cornering very smooth, there’s no waddling like a duck of the old model, or the Truma TE, this makes it quicker in the turn compared to the old model or Truma TE.
We've fitted around 40 of these units in the last 3 years, 2 of the owners had previously had twin wheel movers, all were staggered at the turning rate & extremely happy to have spent the extra to have the best mover fitted.
So how fast is it to turn, well it won’t do a 360' like a single axle, but if you come off the drive to the right say, you can bring it out onto the road forwards on the left motors, then when completely out you can go into reverse on the right motors & end up parked across your drive entrance, so that’s 2 moves.
I am simply going to have to take a movie of this unit doing that because I'm as impressed with it as the customers.
Then there’s the new blue handset with powrlevel control, you can speed up or slow down the movers speed, at the touch of a button it can crawl at snail pace to get it into a tight spot, or increase the power to speed it up, there are 4 speed settings that work forwards or backwards, it also has a new button to engage the motors automatically if the powractivation model is chosen.
This is one unit that I wouldn't recommend as a diy fitting, it takes 1 man 8 hours, or even more to fit & the wiring to the control panel is totally different for the front wheels compared to the back wheels.
The new Evolution:-
Has replaced the AWD 6 PA, it has almost twice the power of the AWD 6, utilising 4 pole motors (brushes) as opposed to 2 pole on any other movers motors. it can travel at up to 0.6 kph & 1 in 4 inclines are nothing to it.
Below are 3 pictures of the new FMC control panel & handset, pic 1 shows the handset set to slow speed, pic 2 its set to full speed & pic 3 is the new control panel & handset.
