Alloy rollers for standard single axle Truma motor mover.
But a bit of work is needed to get them to fit.
They are a replacement for the standard 159mm X 38mm grit rollers, but are expected to last the life of the caravan.
Price is for a pair of alloy rollers with bearings.
Price £78 inc delivery per pair.
The gearbox stub end has a spacer on it so that the wall of the steel & grit roller doesn't need to be too thick, but an alloy roller is too weak to be as thin as steel, so the roller is made thicker to fit the stub end without spacer, once the spacer is removed the new alloy roller just fits onto the thinner stub end.
Removal instructions:-
Basically the gearbox stub axle has a sleeved spacer around it then the roll pin that drives the rollers is fitted to hold it in place, a line of 3 or 4, 4mm holes can be drilled 4mm deep in line with the pin along the spacers width, a cold chisel can then be used to split the sleeve then it can be removed leaving the stub axle which is the exact size for the new alloy rollers.
Alternatively I have new resin grit rollers on stock at £76 inc delivery.
Please measure your rollers before ordering as they will not fit the 182mm X 38mm euro model.
Pic 1 a line of 4 centre pops to keep the drill bit in place.
Pic 2 a line of 4 holes have been drilled through the spacer.
Pic 3 the holes have been split with a cold chisel.
Pic 4 The split has been widened.
Pic 5 the gap was widened further until the spacer broke in 2.
Pic 6 The new alloy roller is now pushed onto the stub axle & the end cap has been refitted, job complete, less than half an hour to do the job per roller.
