Guide to bonding a Reich handset to control panel

Bonding a Reich handset to control panel
Check that you have power from the caravan leisure battery to the control panel, there should be a red solid light on the control panel.
Press & hold in the small red reset button on the rear right of the control panel using a pencil, its inside the cover in the centre hole, on the left is the red LED, on the right is the remote cord jack plug, the light should start flashing rapidly.
If it’s not lined up with the hole, remove the control panel alloy cover & locate the switch.
Press the red button on the handset twice, the red light should light up on the handset then press it again without waiting as its time related & if you’ are too slow it won’t change the frequency, at the same time release the reset switch
Now press the red button on the handset twice, the red light should come on & the panel should come into life.
There should be a series of clicks from the control panel, the handset should now be bonded try the mover buttons to test it without engaging the rollers to the wheels.
If it didn’t work, remove a battery terminal or turn off the reset switch if it has one for 5 minutes to totally kill power to the control panel, then refit it & try the above instructions again, if it still doesn’t work there are several reasons why not, the main cause is battery power too low, so charge the leisure battery with a proper car, or better still a leisure battery charger, but do not boost charge, only charge at under 6 amps max.
Check the terminals on the battery & connections to the control panel to see if they are good & tight & clean.
If all else fails then the receiver in the control panel could have gone down or the handset could be faulty or its battery is low.
