Please note manufacturers differ on their reported inclines etc so these figures are as accurate as i could make them by estimating a set of standard inclines to compare them, 25% or 1 in 4 is the industry standard so thats the goal I aimed for, but before purchasing any mover please check with the manufacturer to make sure it will do the job asked of it, as I take no responsibility on the accuracy of these figures.
Simply find the MTPLM (Maximum permissable laden mass) of your Caravan & ask them if the mover you are interested in will work for you,
If you are purchasing from me then you can ask me, as i have a book with caravan figures covering the last 10 or more years.
Please make sure you don't use kerbweight or ex works weight, as they are much lighter & once you've loaded your van the mover may struggle.
On the face of it Powrtouch seem to be a bit lightweight (except for the AWD 6 which is a mighty twin wheel mover) the reason for this i am sure is because of their 5 year no quibble guarantee, they are very proud of it & so they should be, so I believe they protect it by reporting lighter weights than the movers can comfortably move, for instance the Powrtouch model 1 & the Truma standard mover & the Reich standard mover all use or used to use the same motor & gearbox, but the other 2 manufacturers only offered a 2 year guarantee, I believe Reich now offer a 3 year guarantee & the new Truma R movers offer a 5 yr warranty probably insurance related.
